FULL-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/BOOKKEEPER

CMT Engineering Inc. is in search of a full-time administrative assistant/bookkeeper.  The duties will include the following:

  • type, proofread and format correspondence, forms, reports and other documents
  • prepare final reports in pdf format for electronic distribution, mailing and filing
  • general reception
  • assist with invoicing and accounts receivable

The successful candidate will possess:

  • a minimum of 5 years experience in a comparable role
  • basic knowledge of Sage 50 (Simply) accounting program and working knowledge of accounting basics
  • advanced Word, Excel and Access office skills
  • excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • excellent time management and organizational skills
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills

GEOTECHNICAL FIELD TECHNICIANS

CMT Engineering Inc. is currently recruiting for Geotechnical Field Technicians to work out of our office in St. Clements, Ontario.

Responsibilities

Provide technical services in the field, laboratory and office environment

Supervise and carry out site geotechnical inspections and construction work and materials testing

Conduct insitu testing of various materials on construction sites, compaction, asphalt and concrete testing

Carry out laboratory testing on soils, aggregates and concrete

Conduct footing and reinforcing steel inspections

Monitor the installation of piles and caissons

Cleaning, maintaining, repairing and calibrating of testing equipment

Qualifications

Geological, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma

4-5 years of similar experience

CCIL certified concrete and laboratory testing is an asset – training provided

Ability to read drawings and specifications

Ability to write clear field reports, including making recommendations

Strong organization and time management skills, as well as attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal and time management and verbal skills

Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel to construction sites
